Terms of use
Version 1.0 — 2 November 2026 · effective from 2 November 2026. In case of discrepancy between versions, the French version prevails.
1. Purpose and acceptance
These terms of use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the FixAll service: the website https://fixall.elkconsultingltd.com, the FixAll app for clients and the FixAll Pro app for professionals (together, the "Platform").
By creating an account or using the Platform, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Platform.
These Terms are concluded electronically in accordance with the Electronic Transactions Act 2000 of Mauritius; your electronic acceptance has the same value as a signature.
2. Who we are
FixAll is operated by ELK Consulting Ltd, whose registered office is at Royal Road, Bain Boeuf, Pereybère, Mauritius (the "Operator").
Contact: contact@elkconsultingltd.com · +230 5843 6113.
3. Definitions
• Client: a person who books a home service on the Platform.
• Professional: an independent tradesperson or technician (individual or company) registered on the Platform to offer services.
• Service: the work carried out by the Professional at the Client's home (plumbing, electrical, cleaning, air conditioning, gardening, IT, etc.).
• Job: the service request created by the Client, identified by a unique number.
4. Role of the Platform
FixAll is a matching platform. The Operator sends the Client's request to verified Professionals available in the chosen area and time slot; the first Professional who accepts is assigned to the Job.
The service contract is concluded directly between the Client and the Professional. The Operator is not a party to that contract, does not perform the Services and does not employ the Professionals, who work independently and under their own responsibility.
The Operator uses its best efforts to keep the Platform running, verify Professionals and handle complaints (obligation of means).
5. Access and account
The Platform is reserved for persons aged 18 or over with legal capacity to contract.
You sign in with a mobile phone number, verified by a WhatsApp message or a code. One account per person and per number. The information you give (first name, last name, addresses) must be accurate and kept up to date.
You are responsible for access to your phone and for the use of your account. If you receive a sign-in message you did not request, reply "NO" to block it and let us know.
You may close your account at any time by writing to support (see section 16).
6. Booking by the Client
The Client chooses a service, an address with its service area, a time slot and describes the need; up to 5 photos of the problem may be added. The price, hourly rate or estimate (range) is shown before booking.
A booking is a firm request. It is confirmed to the Client as soon as a Professional accepts it. If no Professional is available, the search continues until 15 minutes before the time slot; otherwise the request expires at no cost to the Client.
Before acceptance, the Professional only sees the service, the area, the time slot and the estimate; the Client's exact address and first name are shared only once the Job is assigned.
7. Prices, payment and commission
Prices are shown in MUR, including any applicable taxes. For an estimate, the final amount may vary with the work actually needed; the Professional declares the final amount in the app and the Client sees it before confirming the end of the Service.
During the launch phase, the Client pays the Professional directly at the end of the Service, by the means the Professional accepts. The Professional provides a receipt or invoice on request.
The Operator charges the Professional a commission on Services carried out through the Platform (standard rate: 15 %, which may change with 30 days' notice). Using the Platform is free for Clients.
8. Cancellation, delay and no-show
The Client may cancel free of charge in the app until the Professional is on the way. Once the Professional is on the way, cancellation goes through support.
The Professional may withdraw from an assigned Job until on the way; the Job is then cancelled, the Client is informed and may make a new request free of charge. Repeated or late cancellations by a Professional affect their ranking and may lead to suspension.
In case of a significant delay or no-show, the party concerned informs the other through the Platform's messaging. The Client may report a no-show to support.
9. End of Service, complaints and disputes
At the end of the Service, the Client confirms the final amount or opens a dispute in the app. A dispute suspends the closing of the Job and is reviewed by the Operator's team, which hears both parties and proposes an amicable solution.
Complaints about the quality of a Service are the Professional's responsibility; the Operator helps settle them amicably and may take action regarding the Professional (warning, suspension).
Failing an amicable agreement, a consumer Client keeps all their rights and may in particular contact the Consumer Affairs Unit of the Ministry of Commerce of Mauritius or the competent courts.
10. Professionals' commitments
The Professional undertakes to:
• provide accurate, up-to-date information and documents (identity document, proof of address, certificate of character and, depending on the trade, qualifications or permits), and report any change;
• hold the permits, licences, registrations and insurance required for their activity, and comply with their tax and social obligations, for which they alone are responsible;
• keep the time slots they accept, behave professionally, carry out Services with care, following good practice and safety standards, and announce any overrun of the estimate before incurring it;
• keep their hours, areas and trades up to date in the app, and declare the final amount of each Service in good faith.
A Professional's account is activated only after the Operator's team has checked their documents. This check does not guarantee the quality of the Services.
11. Prohibited conduct
It is prohibited, in particular:
• to bypass the Platform for a Job obtained through it, including by exchanging phone numbers, e-mails or other contact details in the messaging to deal outside the Platform (such details are automatically masked);
• to post false, misleading, abusive, discriminatory or unlawful content or content infringing the rights of others;
• to impersonate anyone, create several accounts or use someone else's account;
• to undermine the security or operation of the Platform (unauthorised access, automated data extraction, malicious code); such acts may be criminal offences under the Cybersecurity and Cybercrime Act 2021.
12. Reviews
After a completed Service, the Client and the Professional may rate each other (1 to 5) and leave a comment. A review must be honest, relate to a real Service and respect people.
The Operator does not edit reviews. After examination and with a recorded reason, it may hide a review that is abusive, defamatory, off-topic, contains personal data or is clearly fraudulent. Reviews are not paid for.
13. Messaging and notifications
The Platform's messaging lets the Client and the assigned Professional discuss the Job. Phone numbers and e-mail addresses are masked. The support team may read a conversation to handle a report or a dispute.
You receive notifications (app, WhatsApp, e-mail) about your Jobs and the security of your account. You can turn off app notifications in your phone settings.
14. Liability
Each Professional is solely responsible for the Services they carry out, any damage they may cause and compliance with the rules applicable to their activity.
The Operator is responsible for performing its own obligations under these Terms. It is not liable for damage resulting from a Service, force majeure, the act of a third party, an interruption of telecommunication networks or use of the Platform contrary to the Terms.
The Platform may be interrupted for maintenance or updates; the Operator tries to keep such interruptions short.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits the Operator's liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct or for personal injury, nor the rights a consumer Client has under the mandatory rules of Mauritian consumer law.
15. Intellectual property
The FixAll brand, logos, the Platform and their content belong to the Operator or its partners. Any unauthorised reproduction or use is prohibited.
You keep your rights in the photos and texts you post; you grant the Operator a free, non-exclusive licence to host them and show them to the persons concerned, for as long as the service requires.
16. Suspension and closing of accounts
The Operator may suspend or close an account in case of breach of the Terms, fraud, invalid or expired documents, repeated very negative reviews or a risk to users' safety, after informing the user of the reason except in an emergency. A Professional may challenge the decision with support.
You may ask for your account to be closed at any time from the app ("Delete my account") or by e-mail to contact@elkconsultingltd.com. Ongoing Jobs must be completed or cancelled; some data is kept for the legal period (see the Privacy Policy).
17. Personal data
The processing of your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
18. Changes to the Terms
The Operator may change the Terms to reflect changes in the service or the law. Users are informed of any significant change at least 15 days before it takes effect (in the app or by message). Continuing to use the Platform means acceptance; otherwise you may close your account.
19. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Mauritius, including the Mauritian Civil Code, the Consumer Protection Act 1991, the Electronic Transactions Act 2000, the Data Protection Act 2017 and the Cybersecurity and Cybercrime Act 2021.
In case of dispute, the parties first seek an amicable solution with support. Failing that, the courts of the Republic of Mauritius have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory jurisdiction rules protecting consumers.
If any clause is held invalid, the other clauses remain in force.
